As we step into the year 2024, we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2024 Hargreaves Performance Awards. These awards recognise outstanding athletic achievements within our club.
Eligibility Criteria
In an effort to ensure fairness and uphold the integrity of these awards, we have decided to enforce the eligibility criteria more rigorously this year. Here are the key criteria for applicants:
Minimum Standard: Applicants must achieve a top ten ranking in the Midland or South West region. This applies to Track and Field, Road Racing events, and Road Relay Championships, with specific reference to individual times, distances, or heights attained.
Cross-Country: For Cross-Country applicants, meeting the minimum standard involves securing a top ten position in either the Midland or South West championship races. Alternatively, demonstrating performances of a comparable standard at the National level, including the English championships and UK Cross Challenge races, will also meet the standard set.
Age Limit: There is no age limit for applicants. However, Masters athletes aiming for consideration must be ranked in the top three in their respective events.
Special Circumstances: Athletes who do not meet the minimum standard but have valid reasons, such as chronic illness or injury, may be considered. In such cases, strong support from their coaches will be required.

If you aspire to be a recipient of either a Scholarship Grant or a Performance Award, please follow these steps:
Complete the appropriate application form.

Ensure that your application reaches us by the closing date of Sunday, February 11th 2024.
