The club is pleased to announce that we are inviting applications for the 2025 Hargreaves Performance and Scholarship Awards that our President has once again generously agreed to support.
The minimum standard required for those applying is a top ten ranking in the in the Midland or South West region. For track and field, and road racing events, as well as road relay championships, this relates specifically to individual times, distances or heights achieved.
As for cross-country a top ten position in either the Midland or South West championship races, or performances of a comparable standard at National level, including the English championships and UK cross challenge races, will meet the standard set.
There is no age limit to applicants, though Masters would need to be ranked in the top three in their events to be considered.

Hargreaves Scholarship Grants
These grants will be limited to competing club members who are aged under-18 as of 1st January 2025.
Only members who have up to date competing club subscriptions for 2025 are eligible for these awards.
Athletes must, as a minimum for consideration, be ranked in the top 10 in the Midland or South-West on Power-of-10 in their event and age group. For road or cross-country athletes an equivalent standard of performance will need to be evidenced.
Applications must be completed in detail and received by the application closing date (Monday 3rd February 2025).
Hargreaves Performance Awards
These awards will be limited to competing club members who are aged over 18 as at 1st January 2025.

Award Conditions For Both
Provide a photograph or picture for the club web-site.
Provide an annual progress report at the end of the year.
Represent the club as often as available at major competitive events during 2025.
The Grant or Award must be repaid in full if you leave the club during 2025.
