The Bristol & West Club Championships came to a close for 2024 with the final race on Wednesday 14th August at the South West PB Series 5k at Odd Down. This was the last of the SWPBS races for 2024 and a total of 22 B&W runners across all age groups ran. Well done to our winners below and all that supported such a fast local 5k.
As this was the last race of the 2024 club championships, we will be busily arranging medals for all of our 2024 club champions and be announcing later in the year the races selected for 2025.

Women
Hannah Green was the first B&W senior woman home and 3rd female overall to become the 2024 B&W senior women’s club champion over 5k. Hannah very nearly ran a PB in her finishing time of 18:11.
Men
Dylan Rigby ran a 5k PB on the roads with a time of 15:28 to become club champion in the senior male category. Dylan was 3rd overall in the race and the 1st B&W finisher.
In the M40 category, Nick Tuftnell ran 16:48 to claim the men’s M40 title. This was Nick’s first 5k of the year despite having run 29 Parkruns and counting in 2024 already. Nick was 3rd V40 overall in the race.
In the M50 category, Daniel Thornton ran 19:28 to win the title. Daniel was 2nd M50 overall and equalled his time from the SWPBS 5k race from July.
